Filippello, Teresa (Arbisi) passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the age of 97. Born August 16, 1927, a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida until she moved to Ormond Beach to be near her daughter and husband and two grandchildren.

Her life was filled with love and happiness that she shared with her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook who embraced her family with the warmth of many family meals along with the enjoyment of gardening, traveling, and reading. Her parents, Angelo and Anna Arbisi, came from Sicily Italy. She spoke three languages: Italian, English and Spanish that she learned from her neighbors in Ybor City. She helped teach her grandchildren Spanish while they were learning it in high school. She was always very friendly and kind and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, therefore touching the hearts of those around her. She believed in God and would often pray for people.

Teresa graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1945 with Honors. She married Peter Filippello on January 9, 1955, in Tampa, Florida. She was a secretary for several food brokers for many years. She and her husband opened up a Pak and Ship business in Temple Terrace working together as a team and retired in 1992.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gaspar Arbisi and countless dear friends. She is survived by her husband, Peter Filippello, children: Anthony Filippello (Tampa), Phyllis Taylor and Garry Taylor, grandchildren Nicholas and Andrew Taylor, and three generations of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11 am, at the Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 1185 West Granada Boulevard, Ste 11, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.

The family will receive family and friends beginning at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
