IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terrence
Mindykowski
October 10, 1970 – April 22, 2024
Terrence "Terry" Mindykowski, 53, of Alva, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Originally from Bay City, Michigan, Terry lived in South Florida, Miami, and Hollywood, before moving to the West Coast of Florida. Once established, he decided to become an entrepreneur and open a Greyhound Bus Station in Venice, Florida. His drive and ambition allowed him to see that one location blossom into 3 Greyhound locations, a pack and ship and a car rental franchise. With all of this, he and then wife, Patti, also had two boys to raise as well. Terry continued to give selflessly of his time to help others in the community and joined the American Red Cross as a volunteer. Terry was also involved with the Sarasota K9 Search and Rescue with his beloved K9 'Blue' who he trained to become a cadaver dog, and also trained to become a First Responder. In this capacity, he did not hesitate to help when the tragic events of 9/11 unfolded. Terry flew to New York City and spent weeks helping with everything from supply delivery to organization. Terry also raised his hand and volunteered when they needed help searching after the space shuttle Columbia broke apart over Texas. Terry and his K9 team were asked to try and help locate the black box after the explosion. Another huge milestone for him as they were able to secure this for the recovery team. Even with all these accomplishments, Terry still had not found his true calling until he decided to become a paramedic. He went back to school and earned his bachelor's degree where he excelled in his career as an EMT/Paramedic for almost two decades. Terry is survived by his two sons, Zachary and Thomas, two grandchildren, Molly and Mason, and his partner Alisa Fleetwood. There will be a Celebration of Life held at noon on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at City Gate Ministries, 1735 Jackson Street, Ft Myers, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to his fund for expenses. www.givesendgo.com/Terry_Mindykowski
