Terry D. Buckley, age 82, of Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 at Grace Davis Hall Hospice House. Terry was born on July 26,1941 to his parents, Melvin and Veoria Buckley in Peoria, IL. Terry entered the Air Force at the age of 17. He was a decorated veteran of the USAF having served two separate tours of duty throughout the far east involved in aviation mechanics. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Terry pursued a career in the aviation industry starting with Lockheed Aerospace in Marietta, GA. In 1971, Terry and family moved to St. Augustine, FL where he worked for Grumman Aerospace as a foreman. In 1984, Terry and his wife founded Ancient City Land Clearing. He was a licensed realtor and a private pilot. Terry was also Post Commander of VFW #2391. In 1995, due to ill health he retired and moved to Ocala, FL with his wife. He had a God given mechanical ability and enjoyed repairing large machines. Terry enjoyed general aviation and was a member of the Ocala Flying Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating, motorcycle riding and drag racing.

Terry is survived by his wife Sharon Buckley of 59 years; two sons, David Todd Buckley and Terry Lee Buckley, both of Ocala, FL.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Maureen Buckley Ortagus; son, Craig Alan Buckley; six brothers, Donald, Raymond, Carl, Gary, Roger and Richard Buckley, all of Peoria, IL.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all friends and family for condolences. Flowers are gratefully declined, however you may make a donation to a charity of your choice.
