Terry Joe Burns (85) of the Villages Florida passed away May 16th, 2025. Terry was born on November 4, 1939, to Raymond & Grace Burns in Martinsville, Indiana.

Terry was extremely proud of his business degree from Indiana University. His career with RCA/Thompson Electronics afforded him various opportunities, starting out in Indianapolis & Bloomington, Indiana, later moving to Taiwan & Singapore. When he returned back to the states, he relocated to El Paso, Texas for 25 years where he finished his career and retired as head of operations for the plants in Juarez, Mexico. Soon after retiring he moved to the Villages, Florida where he resided for the past 11 years.

Terry was known for his quick wit and his dry sense of humor. He had a strong devotion to family & friends. He thoroughly loved his pets. He was always willing to helps other rise to their full potential. Running was his passion early in life but later switched to golf and enjoyed the opportunity of playing various courses around the world. He had a fascination with travel visiting many different countries around the world.

Terry is survived by his wife of 10 years Carolyn Thomas. Children Todd Burns wife Tammie Burns, Daughter Lisa Burns & Son Jeffery Burns.

He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Cathy Santos and husband Luis Santos, Zach Burns & wife Brittney Barney Burns & Austin Burns, Great grandchildren Braiden Rodriguez, Jaxon Santos, Braxton Burns & Brody Burns.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Grace Burns; sister Virginia Martindale and brother Gary Burns and his wife Sue Burns of 47 years.

Terry's dedication to family was a driving force in his life. His love of family was evident as they spent time together during holidays, travel & relaxing at home. His generosity will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held at the Billy Crews restaurant ,1200 Country Club Dr., Santa Teresa, NM-88008 on June 21st between the hours of 3pm & 5pm.
