Richard authored many poems which is copy written at the Library of Congress, this was his favorite which was also put to music:

I never regretted going to the cross,

I never regretted the pain or the loss,

I never regretted the time that was spent

So all of my children might repent.

Although I went there for all mankind

It was that one lost soul that was left behind

Now if all my children had of been a witness

as my word proclaimed that one lost soul

would have been blessed

and gone home to God's Heavenly rest.
