Early on Sunday, September 12, 2021 Thelma Joyce Flynn-hughes,88, passed away at her home in Fort Myers, Florida after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born in Gatliff, Kentucky on April 19, 1933 to Charles and Margaret Parks. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in early childhood education. She was a teacher for 30 years in the public school system in Louisville, Kentucky. She moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 2001. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11 AM in the chapel at Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL.
