Thelma Maxine Knight, 90 of Edgewater, died Friday, December 21, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Maxine was born March 8, 1928 in Dunbar, WV to the late Noble and Bessie Boggess. After high school, Maxine attended nursing school and received her RN certificate. She worked many years as a nurse always caring for others. She married the love of her life, Charles Eugene Knight and had six wonderful children. Maxine was a member of the Friendship Community Church and enjoyed bingo, yard sales, and her dogs Joey and Jayme. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Knight, brother Herman, sister Geraldine Boggess and son-in-law Don Andrews. Maxine is survived by her son, Charles Euguene Knight, Jr., daughter Cheryl Balombini-Andrews, daughter, Pam and son-in-law, Simon Tripp, daughter Patty Tate, and son Jeffery and daughter-in-law Cindy Knight; grandchildren, Autumn & Brian Templeton, Whitney & Darren Pritchard, David & Chelsea Tate, Alyssa & Dylan Yetter, Christina Tate and Lindsey Knight and 6 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held 6PM, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Friendship Community Church, 2108 Hibiscus Drive, Edgewater, FL. Burial will take place at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.
