Theodore
Alexander
Oct 31, 1935 — Aug 17, 2026
Wildwood, FL
Theodore Alexander was born as Theodore Voyatzis in Athens, Greece on Oct 31, 1935. Ted died Aug 17, 2026 at the UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital after a brief illness. As a young man Ted went to Canada to attend college. He worked in a gold mine to pay for his education. He became a Canadian citizen. In Canada Ted met and married his first wife Noula and had a son, Alexander Voyatzis and a daughter Katherine Simon Pitsiniaga. Alexander still lives in Canada while Katerine went to live in Greece. After separating from his wife and children, Ted moved to Florida, USA. Ted changed his name to Theodore Alexander. In Florida Ted met and married his second wife Alva in 1976. A year later Ted became an American citizen. Ted and Alva were married 50 years. Alva’s two children before she married Ted are daughter Linda Marie Wronski and son Scott Anthony Fuller. Through Alva, Ted had four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was known to them as Pappou. Ted started working in Florida as a bookkeeper, then had a stained glass business, and later managed a shopping strip with his wife Alva for 20 years. After working hard together for many years, Ted and Alva retired to live in The Villages in 2010. Before and after retirement, Ted and Alva went on many cruises and overseas trips to Europe and the Mediterranean, especially Greece. Ted was always an inventor, putting together creative solutions to whatever he was doing. He was very good at using his hands and had a lot of tools. He loved making things with his wood lathe. He and Alva once owned two Model A cars and were in two different Model A Car clubs before and after they moved to The Villages. They built their Villages home with an extended garage so they could fit in their two Model A cars, their primary car, and a golf cart. They sold their home in The Villages and moved to independent living at the American House in Wildwood, FL in 2024.
There will be no service. Ted’s favorite charity was the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. If you would like to make a donation there in Ted’s name, his family will greatly appreciate it.
