Theodore "Ted" Richard McKown, age 85, passed away November 27,2018, after a brief illness. He was born August 24, 1933 in Millstone, WV. Ted retired from Morton Salt Company, Fairport, OH in 1995. He moved to Ocala, FL in 2000.

Ted was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a kind and loving person, with a great sense of humor. Ted loved to travel and had visited almost every state in his RV. He was an avid cruiser and had celebrated his 85 ^th birthday aboard a ship in the Caribbean. He was also a proud 32-degree Mason. He will be dearly missed by everyone. Ted never knew a stranger, and everyone loved him.

Ted is survived by his wife Katie; daughters, Judith (Don) Patterson and Beverly (Greg) Kane; son, Theodore (Sandy) McKown II; sister, Martha (Paul) Booth; brother, Frank (Deborah) McKown; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Evan and Shirley McKown, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 8,2018 at 2 pm, at Spruce Creek North Clubhouse at 11040 SW 64 ^th Ave., Ocala, FL 34476.
