Theresa J. (Nadeau) Cote, aged 76, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away on July 8, 2023, at her daughter's home in Palm Coast, FL, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly.

Theresa was born on February 7, 1947, in Lewiston, Maine. She was the daughter of Roland E. Nadeau and Jeannette M. (St. Pierre) Nadeau. On September 28, 1968, she married Roland J. Cote in Lewiston, Maine.

Theresa graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School. She later received her LPN degree. During her more than 40 years in nursing she worked in various nursing facilities. She loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian. After her husband graduated from Seminary in 1995, she became a Pastor's wife serving a congregation in central Illinois. Her love and compassion for others was one of her greatest strengths. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family. She especially loved her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her daughter Laurie Hastie and her husband Larry of Palm Coast, FL, her grandchildren Andrew Cote and his partner Sierra, Justin-Michael Rodriguez, his partner Samantha of Palm Coast, FL, and Katelyn Cote, her partner Sarah of Bangor, ME, Her son's widow, Michelle Garth and grandchildren Jewel and Jasper Cote of Melbourne, Australia. She is also survived by great grandchildren Sirena Cote, Arthur Cote, Roland-Alexander Rodriguez and Rory-Easton Rodriguez. Daughter of her heart, Katherine (Annis Cote) Samson of Colebrook, NH, Sister-in-law Rita Grenier of St. Sault Marie, MI, as well as many cousins, some who were more like siblings, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland J. Cote, and their son, Erik J. Cote.

Arrangements are under the care of Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, FL. The memorial will be held on September 29, 2023 at 2pm at St. Peters Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.
