Theresa Marie Rivard, age 98, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 27, 2026. She passed peacefully at the Halifax Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, Florida. Theresa is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Trudy and Wendy, her granddaughter Kimberly, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved adopted family, the Cudas. She is predeceased by her husband, George, her daughter, Debi, and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Theresa was born on February 14, 1927 in Lowell, Massachusetts to parents Donat and Aurore Lefebvre. As a child, she spoke only French at home, and attended her first years of school in a one-room school house. Theresa married Robert Jones in 1954, and their daughter Debi was born in 1956. Theresa raised Debi in Nashua, New Hampshire, surrounded by her large extended family, and during those years, she worked in manufacturing.

In 1974, Theresa married George Rivard, and together they moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, where they operated an apartment building together. Theresa also worked as a housekeeper and a caregiver.

Theresa was a faithful Christian, and she shared her love of Jesus with everyone she met, touching many lives with her testimony. She loved to cook, and her kitchen was the heart of her home. She was joyful, funny, thrifty, creative, generous, and kind. She will be missed and remembered lovingly by all who knew her.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, February 6th at 2:00 PM at the chapel at the Halifax Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, with a reception to follow at Theresa’s home.
