IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa
Wilson
July 3, 1930 – December 23, 2023
Theresa Lorraine Wilson, 93, passed away Saturday December 23, 2023.
Theresa was born on July 3rd, 1930, in Watertown, NY to Philias and Eva Tessier and was one of thirteen children. Born and raised on a farm in Watertown, the family vacationed and eventually moved to Ft. Myers where she met and married Harvey Wilson from Ft. Myers. Together they had eight children.
Theresa had many talents; she was an outstanding seamstress for her family and her children's friends. She created all the gowns needed for every occasion for her girls and their friends, including wedding dresses, school uniforms, and costumes for her grandchildren. Theresa was of catholic faith, very involved with her church. She was a longtime choir member, was on the alter guild and participated in numerous fundraisers for her church and community all while raising her eight children. All holidays were celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Wilson household with extended family and friends. She created great memories. All who knew her called her Mother Theresa.
Theresa is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Sr., her parents, and eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include one sister, Yvonne Tessier. Children, Diana (Gary), Renee (Jon), Harvey (Dorothy), Lynette, Jeannine, Michael, Suzette (Wally), Patrick (Heather). Her grandchildren, Brown (Rose), Nicole, Emily (William), Matthew ( Angelina), Logan, Katlin (Trey). Great grandchildren, Luke, Piper, Aiden, Frankie. Special niece Linda ( Charley) Focarino. And many other nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church Tuesday January 16, 2024 at 10.00 a.m.
Special thanks to Promised Paradise assisted living for their loving and compassionate care.
