Obituary

Thomas A. Ashfield, 76, of Titusville, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. Born in San Diego, California, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Elma Ashfield. Thomas was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life, bringing him strength, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. He carried with him a deep sense of duty and honor throughout his life, proudly serving his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Thomas was a man who truly embraced life’s simple joys. He had a passion for traveling and a fascination with airplanes, always eager for the next adventure. Closer to home, he found happiness out on the water—fishing and shrimping were among his favorite pastimes. Nothing brought him more contentment, however, than gathering with family for a backyard barbecue, sharing laughter, stories, and good food.

Known for his quick wit and warm personality, Thomas had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him laugh. He was widely admired as one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet—intelligent, thoughtful, and endlessly giving. His presence lit up every room, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Thomas had a passion for photography, capturing the breathtaking beauty of sunrises and sunsets with a keen eye and deep appreciation for nature’s quiet moments.

Above all, Thomas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Ann Ashfield; his children, Bonnie Colon (Sergio), Michael Ashfield, step daughters; Anita Besharat, Andrea Maniaci, and adopted daughters; Alexandra Maniaci, and Adrinna Blevins; and his eight cherished grandchildren.

Thomas will be remembered as a steady, loving, and devoted family man—the most consistent and caring husband and father. His legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of his family forever.

A life well lived, a man deeply loved, and a memory that will never fade.
