Obituary

Thomas Dohmen passed away at the age of 87 on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born in Pennsylvania and was preceded in death by his parents Margaret (nee Deisroth) and Peter Dohmen. He worked as a glass cutter and quality control supervisor at American Saint-Gobain, an electrician and crane operator at Pullman Standard and various steel mills, a constable for Butler County, and a co-manager for a condominium complex in Key Colony Beach, Florida. He also worked for the City of Port Orange and the City of Port Orange Police Department in the maintenance divisions from which he retired. Tom served in the U.S. Army Reserves and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in the positions of combat engineer, MP, and armorer respectively while earning the rank of Sergeant in both branches. He is survived by his wife, Sherry, brother and sister-in-law Matt (Karen), son and daughter-in-law Sean (Lindsay), daughter and son-in-law Nola (Jeff), niece and husband Margaret (Nate), nephew and wife Matthias (Leonor), seven grandchildren, two great grandsons, two grandnephews, a grandniece and a host of loving bonus sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews whom Tom treasured. Tom loved God, America, his family and his wide circle of dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Jesus Church 1818 Taylor Road, Port Orange, Florida 32128.
