Thomas Edward Gonano, 74, of The Villages, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed peacefully on December 24, 2023, with his loving son, Thomas, and devoted friend, Brenda Flowers, by his side.  Tom was a generous, fun-loving spirit who made friends wherever he went.

Tom served as a medic in the Army and was a member of Sprinklerfitter U.A. Local 542. He was also a 30 year member of the Elks Oakmont Lodge #1668 and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and socializing with friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret A. ("Maggie"), and his parents, Edward Gonano and Kathleen Stern, as well as his brother, James M. Gonano, U.S. Marine, who tragically was KIA in Vietnam at 18 years of age.

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas J. Gonano, two brothers, Edward Gonano (Hope) and Jeffrey Gonano (Kathy), sister-in-law, Linda Berger (Frank), and nieces and nephews. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation.
