Thomas Lamar Hood commonly went by Lamar, was born April 20, 1959, and passed away on May 8, 2020. He was the child of George Clinton Hood and Ethel Hood, both deceased. Lamar was a carpenter by trade, but he also enjoyed creating things with his hands. Whether it be by building or cooking. He was a very talented artist. He expressed himself through written word such as poems and songs, as well as drawing and painting. His inspiration was those he loved the most. He also greatly enjoyed Fishing.

He was a loving good man, with a big heart. He was a giver, even if it meant he would have to go without himself.

He is survived by his son Lamar Hood, his daughter Brittney Hood Setney, who he loved with all his heart and soul, his two grandchildren Brianna and Clark Setney, his older sister Frenedra "Ned" Hood, and his niece Diane Hood along with her family.
