Obituary

Thomas "Pop" Peyton, 82, of Oviedo, Florida, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Tom is survived by his dear friend and former spouse, Maureen Peyton, his daughter Kimberly Kelleher (Peyton), his son Kevin Peyton, his two beloved grandchildren, Tommy and Cole Peyton, his son-in-law Tim Kelleher, and his daughter-in-law Gina Peyton (Napoli).

Born on May 19, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, Tom and Maureen raised their two wonderful children, Kim and Kevin, in South Jersey. A devoted Phillies and Eagles fan, he spent many years cheering on his favorite teams. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and later enjoyed a long career with Ford Motor Company before retiring.

After years in South Jersey, Tom relocated to Florida to be closer to his son, Kevin, and daughter-in-law, Gina. Above all else, he was a devoted grandfather to his grandsons, Tommy and Cole. They were his entire world, and he never missed a moment of their lives—especially their sporting events. Weekly lunch and dinner outings with his grandchildren were some of his favorite things to do, with favorites including Laspada's, Chinese, The Olive Garden, and the traditional Monday night wings at Gators Dockside.

Beyond watching his grandsons play sports, Tom's happiest place on earth was Walt Disney World. He made countless trips there with his children and grandchildren, never passing up a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean or the chance to enjoy a Mickey-Ears.

Tom was deeply loved by his family, and life will never be the same without him. Sunday dinners, watching football with his son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons, as well as Monday Eagles chats and weekly visits watching game shows with his Kimmy, and his Phillies chats with his son-in-law Tim were traditions that will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful father and an even better grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion.

His family thanks him for everything—Dad, Pop, we hope you always know how much you are loved.

To honor his incredible life, the family will hold a private gathering, sharing his favorite meal—Burt's Pizza—at his son's home. They would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers during this difficult time.

WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU EVERYDAY
