Thomas Andrew Russo, age 68, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. He is survived by his cherished wife, Connie and his deeply loved son, Noah. Through his marriage, he was also blessed to welcome his wife’s adult children, Mick (Elizabeth), and Koby (Whitley) into his extended family. Including those who lovingly called him “Papa Tom”: Sonora, Olin, Hadleigh, Ellis “Ben-jammin”, Daniel “Dan-Tana”, John, Ezra “Smiley” and Vera. He also leaves behind his siblings, Johnny (Brenda), Rosemary (Larry), Nicholas, Jackie, Jeannie (Allen), nieces, Lauren, Nellee, Alex and Melissa, nephews, Andrew (Kristina), Sean and Nicholas. Along with several great-nieces and great-nephews: Jazelle, Brent, Preston, Lillian, Liam, Charlotte, Callum, Willow and Baird.

Tom was from a military family and was born in Scotland. He proudly served as a Seaman in the United States Coast Guard from 1979-1983 stationed at the USCG Station Clearwater, FL. He was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard Reserves in 1985 from the Seventh Coast Guard District St. Petersburg, FL.

A bigger-than-life man, “Tommy” grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for quiet observation, unless of course, he was watching his favorite sports. His charismatic spirit lit up every room; he loved to make others laugh with his sharp, witty jokes, riddles, and silly antics.

Tommy loved bringing people together with great food. A legendary grill master and a traditional red sauce maker, his cooking was a gift to everyone who tasted it. While he shared his joy generously at the grill and the stove, he kept his private world close to his heart.

Though he has left this physical world, his warmth, laughter, and love will forever remain etched in our hearts.
