Thomas Gardiner Shorey, 70, lost his courageous battle with cancer on March 17, 2022. Tom was born on April 2, 1951, in Bangor, Maine, the son of Virginia and Gardiner Shorey.

​ Tom was a graduate of Bangor High School and Husson College. After college, Tom had worked in sporting goods at Woolco Dept. Store, Rich's, and Automatic Distributors. He was a huge fan of the Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, and being with family and friends. Tom will be remembered for his pleasant personality and sense of humor.

​ Tom was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; by his daughter, Christina Shorey and her partner, Mark Billing, of Jefferson, Maine; and his son, Jeffery Shorey and his partner, Michelle Brady, of Carmel, Maine. Tom is also survived by his sister, Dianne and brother-in-law, Michael Cole; as well as his aunt, Joan Young; sister-in-law, Susan Patterson and husband, Charlie; brother-in-law, George Miller and wife, Pauline; and several cousins. He will be missed by his group of friends in The Villages; and also by his very good friends, Patsy and Jim Husson.
