It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Thomas Stanek 82,on Monday October 2nd. Tom was a resident of the village of largo since 2007. He was an intelligent, gentle man who was well liked by friends family and all who had met him. Tom was born on March 7, 1941 in Des Plaines, Illinois. He met the love of his life Barbara and married February 2, 1963. He is survived by wife, Barbara; son, Rocky (Amanda) Stanek and 4 grandchildren. He worked for Sears Roebuck for 30 years in Chicago, Illinois.  A military service will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on November 8 ^th , 2023 at the Florida national cemetery in Bushnell followed by a celebration of life at Eisenhower recreation center. Tom will be dearly missed by family, friends, and neighbors. He was a soft-spoken loving , father, grandfather, and friend. He had a sharp wit and a strong love of life and his loved ones will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. May his soul rest in peace.
