Thomas Allen Steele, 62, of Fort Myers passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026. Originally from East Lansing, Michigan, he moved to Florida where he attended Fort Lauderdale High School and Embry-Riddle Aeronautic University. Tom used his mechanical prowess in successful careers at Steele Truck Center and various gas and water drilling companies both domestically and internationally.

Tom was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time renovating and flipping homes, traveling to 39 countries and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore D. Steele Sr., and his brother, Robert M. Steele. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne M. Steele; his sister, Debra Gray (David); and brothers Bill Steele (Sheila) and Ted Steele Jr; his nieces Taylor, Brittani, Nicole, Sara and Allison; his nephew Andrew; and a host of great-nieces and nephews. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle whose memory is forever cherished by all those lucky enough to be loved by him.
