Tilden (Ron) Schofield, 93 of Wildwood, Florida passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on July 12, 2026.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio to George F. and Mabel (Hummel) Schofield. He graduated Univ of Miami, before joining the Airforce, where he served as a special investigator with the OSI. After 20 years of service, retired as a Major. He went on to become a lawyer, practicing in Sebring, Florida until he retired.

Ron loved to golf, was a talented artist and avid rock hound. He travelled the country exploring its wonders and making jewelry from the rocks he found.

Ron is survived by his four children, David Bryan (Mel), Arthur Lee (Lynanne), Sandra Lynn Holtschult (Steve) and their children, Tony, Andrew, Sunny and Ashley, and Gary Alan (Cheryl) and their son Ryan, his niece Debbie, his nephews, Bruce and George F. 3rd, and their families.

He is preceded by his parents and brothers George F. 2nd and David, his first wife, Patricia (Farrell) and second wife Joyce C. Schofield.

Services will be held at the National Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Pheonix, AZ at a later date.
