Timothy “Tim” Scanlon, 66, beloved husband of Elizabeth “Liz” Scanlon departed this world Sept. 1 at home surrounded by his loving family. A Connecticut native, he and Liz made their home in Chesterfield, New Hampshire where they raised their three children, then moved to Venice FL in 2025. Tim loved the outdoors, particularly if a fast boat, skimobile, or motorcycle was involved. A dedicated family man, he spent hours cheering the kids in soccer and lacrosse games. He could fix anything and always had a project underway at the family’s rustic NH property, or some fun with target shooting.

He was a graduate of East Catholic High and New England College. Tim’s career began with Hartford Steam Boiler as an Industrial Hygienist, a field where he was in demand for his expertise for four decades. He retired as Vice President, Risk Control, USI Insurance.

Tim was a dog lover, golfer, and fisherman, and although only in FL a short time he thoroughly enjoyed his e-bike and exploring the Gulf.

His sense of humor and devotion to family will be greatly missed. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 34 years Liz, children Caitlin (m. Nick Sartini), Kelley, and Tim Jr. “Billy”, and siblings Marybeth, Tom, and Lisa (Murphy).
