Obituary

Timothy John Durgan, 63, passed away in Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida on July 1, 2024.

Tim born in Cortland, NY February 26, 1961 to the late Florence (Kellogg) Durgan and Robert K Durgan

Tim graduated from Moravia High school in Moravia, NY in 1979. He entered the United States Air Force in 1981 and served until 1989. He then served in the reserves for four years. He was a very proud Air Force veteran. Tim was a Sergeant with the military police. He volunteered to be "McGruff the crime dog" He worked for Firestone for several years and then he became a landscape architect and gardener. He was a member of several veteran establishments and the Eagle's club. AM VETS post 81 and Legion post 50 both in Fort Myers were amongst his favorites. He served as a Chaplain in the Honor Guard for two years and the post for four years at AM VETS post 81.

Tim loved to make friends and they became his family. He was a younger "Red Skeleton", he hid his pain, depression and loneliness in his humor, grumbles and his drink.

He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents Willard and Maggie Kellogg, aunts and uncles, favorite cousin Douglas Tallman and his brother-in-law LeRoy T. Powers.

He is survived by his doting sister Charlene Powers Auburn, NY and sisters Bonnie Perrault (Ron) , Verona, NY and Ethel Blasko of Auburn, nieces and nephews and several cousins. He also survived by numerous friends that were his family in Florida. A special thanks to Colleen Lin, Santiago Moreno, Kevin (Robin), Derrell (Kim) Johnson and many others also Hope Hospice of Cape Coral who helped my brother pass peacefully.

Tim's burial will be in the NYS Veterans Cemetery- Fingerlakes in Romulus, NY. With the date to be announced soon.
