Tim Morscheck was born on May 9,1948 in Moorhead Minnesota and died peacefully on July 5, 2026 in Leesburg Florida. He was born to Duane and June Morscheck. He graduated from Beaverlodge Regional High School before continuing his education at LeTourneau University in Longview Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He then went on to get his master’s degree in Fluid Dynamics from the University of Michigan Dearborn. He started working for Eaton Corporation Truck Group in 1971 and retired as the Vice President of Technology in 2007. Over his 35+ years of work he is credited with many patents and his ingenuity lead to many advances in the truck transmission world.

After retirement, him and his wife, Joanne, enjoyed their summer home in Charlevoix, Michigan where they spent time hosting family and friends. He loved spending time on the water fishing and flying his airplane especially when he could bring his grandkids along. He was very involved at both of the churches he attended, Berean Baptist in Portage MI and First Baptist Church of Leesburg in Leesburg FL.

Tim loved the Lord and lived his life as a strong man of faith. His commitment and dedication to care for his wife Joanne as she battled Parkinson’s for many years of her life was remarkable. She proceeded him in death this past February 4, 2026. They would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this past June.

He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon King (William) and Melody Steensma (Tim). He loved being a grandpa to his three grandchildren Wyatt, Morgan and Maysen Steensma. He is also survived by his brother Tom Morscheck (Bonne), sister Marilee Congo (Jon) and brother Stephen Morscheck (Julie). He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Lake Port Square (821 Lake Port Blvd Leesburg FL 34748) on Monday July 27, 2026 at 10am.

There will also be a Celebration of Life Service at Berean Baptist Church in Portage Michigan on Saturday August 29, 2026. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11am with a service to follow at 11am. Lunch will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
