William Thomas (Tom) Straitiff, 96, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born December 19, 1926, in Williamsburg, PA to William and Grace (née Aurandt) Straitiff.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II and later served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. Tom retired from the former Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania in 1985.  He lived most of his life in New Cumberland, PA and attended Christian Life Assembly of Camp Hill before moving to Florida in 2014.  Tom loved all sports and working crossword puzzles.  He played handball at the Harrisburg YMCA for 41 years.

Tom is survived by daughter Sharyn D. Straitiff of Sadieville KY, daughter Carol S. Hodes of Lehigh Acres FL, son David W. Straitiff and wife Beth of Lyman SC, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Beverly, a son Robert T. Straitiff, a son-in-law Hal R. Hodes, and a great-grandson Garrett A. Hultin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of William Thomas Straitiff are suggested to Hospice or Harrisburg YMCA (PA).

Graveside services will be held July 10 ^th , 10:00 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, PA.
