Tony C. Stamper, 64, passed away July 3, 2022, in Ormond Beach, FL. He was born on March 21, 1958, in Abermarle, North Carolina to parents Homer "Gene" Stamper and Sarah Stamper.
Tony was a licensed North Carolina General Contractor and was the previous co-owner of Mechanical Specialties Contractors, Inc. in Denton, North Carolina. He was a muscle car enthusiast, and quite enjoyed water skiing and jet skiing. He also was a private pilot and enjoyed flying. He also loved motorcycles and going to Hawaii on vacation. Tony was a lifelong fan of the UNC Tarheels and also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was the biggest fan of The Eagles. He loved animals, especially dogs.
Tony is survived by his wife, Teri Emory Stamper of Port Orange, FL, his son, Christopher Lee Stamper of Port Orange, FL, his daughter Erin Fairlight Stamper Olsen and her husband, James Olsen, both of Doha, Qatar, his parents, Homer "Gene" Stamper and Sarah Stamper of Climax, NC, and his sister, Cheryl Craven and her husband Cliff Craven of Pleasant Garden, NC. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gaebriel Olsen, Magdeleine Olsen, Myriam Olsen, Shiloh Olsen, Ewa Olsen, Wolfe Olsen, and Eowyn Olsen, his nephew Matt Craven (Hannah) of Summerfield, NC, his niece Jennifer Craven (Hunter Laughlin) of Winston-Salem, NC, his great-niece Wren Craven of Summerfield, NC, his great-nephew, Owen Craven of Summerfield, NC, and his dogs, Sheena, Harley, and Emory.
Services will be held at 3pm in the Sanctuary on Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at Centre Friends Meeting, 325 NC-62 East, Greensboro, NC 27406. Visitation will follow from 4pm to 5pm in the Fellowship Hall. Burial Services will be private.
Tony is dearly loved by his family and friends, and he will forever be in our hearts and memories. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Tony's memory to Brookdale West's Alzheimer's Association .
