IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Troy Allen
Blair
May 26, 1959 – February 13, 2026
Troy Allen Blair, 66, of Ocala, Florida (formerly of Chester, Vermont), passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer.
Throughout his diagnosis, Troy faced his illness with remarkable strength, grace, and determination. He underwent brain surgery with the hope of being granted just a little more time with those he loved. Even during the most difficult moments of his fight, Troy never lost his sense of humor. His resilience, positive spirit, and ability to make others smile and laugh were an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Troy was born on May 26, 1959, in Raeford, North Carolina, but he grew up and spent most of his life in Chester, Vermont — a place he always considered home.
He was a devoted husband, father, and proud “Papa.” Troy was known for his outgoing personality, quick wit, and off-the-wall comments and sayings that kept family and friends laughing. His humor and storytelling were just a few of the many qualities that made him so beloved.
Troy loved all things sports. As a youth he enjoyed playing many different sports, and later found great joy in coaching and cheering on his children — his son, Josh Blair, and daughter, Amanda Jenkins. In later years, he treasured watching his grandson, Dylan Jenkins, play, taking immense pride in every moment.
Troy spent his career driving for several major trucking companies as an over-the-road truck driver, as well as working alongside lifelong friends who owned their own trucking businesses. He knew everything there was to know about trucking — those closest to him would say he was born for the road. Troy took great pride in his truck, keeping it spotless and detailing it meticulously until it met his standards of perfection.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terri Blair; his daughter, Amanda Jenkins, and her husband, Derrick Jenkins, of Virginia; his son, Josh Blair, of Ocala, Florida; and his cherished grandson, Dylan Jenkins, of Virginia. He is also survived by his sisters, Marsha Shephard of Ferrisburg, Vermont, and Melinda Monroe of Chester, Vermont; his brother, Todd Blair of Asheville, North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Troy was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie Blair (Veysey); his father, William Blair; his brothers, Michael Blair and Brent LaFave.
Troy will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his love for his family, and the many miles he traveled both on the road and in life. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
