Troy Allen Smith, 63, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, entered eternal rest with his blessed Savior, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Cape Coral. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on February 17, 1963, he grew up in Alburtis, Pennsylvania with his family and graduated Emmaus High School in 1982. After high school, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army as an Air Defense Crewman in Alaska during the Cold War. Following his military service, he continued his public service as a firefighter with Alburtis Fire Company and also enjoyed coaching and umpiring little league baseball with his brother Donnie. After his time of service, he went on to his successful longtime career as a plumber and plumbing foreman. He is survived by his brothers Donald Smith and his wife Diane Smith of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Terry Smith and Deborah Smith (nee Fenstermaker) of Macungie, Pennsylvania, his sisters, Shirley Smith of Colorado, and Deanna Johns (nee Smith) of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, many loved nieces and nephews, daughters Chrystena Marie Surprenant (nee Smith) of Louisiana and Florida, and Melissa Amanda Houser (nee Smith) wife of Thomas R. Houser of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and two grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Deran Delmer Smith and Jenny Marie Harper, nephew Jason Schweitzer son of Deanna Johns (nee Smith), and his beloved Columbus, a pitbull he rescued and loved dearly.
