Obituary

Valerie Annette Francis, 69, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Port Orange, Florida.

Born on February 21, 1957, at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, Valerie lived a life marked by devotion to her family, hard work, and a steadfast faith in God. Over the years, she worked as a dedicated business owner, restaurant manager, and waitress, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and patrons alike with her warm personality and industrious spirit.

Above all else, Valerie’s heart belonged to her home and loved ones. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and nothing brought her greater happiness than bringing everyone together for family gatherings filled with good food, laughter, and love. Her five grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent as their grandmother. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Lily.

Valerie’s deeply rooted Christian faith was the foundation of her life. Her love for her heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, guided her daily, and her Bible was never far from her side. Her family takes great comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and John Francis; her longtime partner, Mark Montgomery; her brother, John Francis; and her sister, Nancy Moye.

She is survived and forever remembered by her devoted children: daughter Christina Vaccaro, and sons Nicholas (Anita) Wesner II and Matthew (Trisha) Francis; her sister Karen Heggie and brother David Francis; and her five cherished grandchildren: Phoenix Hoffman, Nicholas Wesner III, Blaine Francis, Lucas Francis, and Madison Francis.

A celebration of Valerie's life will be announced at a later date
