Vaughn C. Doane, 83, of Edgewater died peacefully Sunday, September 18, 2011 at his home with his family by his side.  Vaughn was born July 24, 1928 in Sandusky, MI.  He served his country with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Vaughn worked as a butcher and Meat Inspector for the Department of Agriculture.  He and his wife moved to this area in 1983 from Sandusky, MI.  Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife, Norma on May 11, 2011.  He is survived by his two sons, Gary and daughter-in-law, Roberta of Edgewater and Alan of South Carolina.  Private family services will be held.   Private Family services will be held.
