Verna (Foss) Thyng passed away quietly in her sleep at the age of 85 on July 13th surrounded by family and friends.  A native of Somersworth, NH, Verna raised her children in South Berwick, ME and New Castle, NH before relocating to Florida in 1985.  Before moving to Florida, she had been active in the Eastern Star and was a long time member of the First Parish Church, Congregational in Somersworth.  She and Arthur, her husband of 67 years, enjoyed traveling and were able to see most of the United States in their motor home.  She is also survived by her sister, Mona of Dover, NH; children, Alan, Larry, Lincoln, Donna, Brad and Jamie; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  A Celebration of her Life will be held at Baldwin Brothers, Heritage Chapel (954 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala 352-236-5884) on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11AM.  She will be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. at a later date.
