Verne Joshua Burdick, 45, of North Fort Myers, FL passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was born June 11, 1978, in San Jose, CA to Verne and Susan (née Davis) Burdick.

Josh married his high school sweetheart and they had a beautiful life for the last 27 years. Josh was a hardworking man who always sought to provide for his family. He was thrown many struggles from having a child right out of high school, but he always persevered and made do with what life dealt him. He went into the field of construction and worked his way up to become a heavy equipment operator/supervisor. He was blessed with the opportunity to have his two boys work alongside him and be able to mentor and pass down his wisdom to them. Two years ago when his youngest, Logan, wanted to obtain his motorcycle license, Josh went with him and they picked up riding together as a hobby. He loved his bikes and riding. He was also so thrilled when he earned the title of "Papa". He wanted to show his grandson, Brody, the world and was so excited when he found out about his newest grandson to be Aedan! Josh never met a stranger and was loved by so many! While his life was cut way too short, he left behind many wonderful memories to be cherished by all of his loved ones.

Verne is survived by his wife, Heather Burdick; his four children; Ashlyn and her husband Isaiah, Cierra and her partner Paul, Kaleb, and Logan and his fiancé Olivia; one grandson, Brody and one grandson to be, Aedan; his brother, Chris; two sisters, Ashley and Naomi, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his dog Stella, who all loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Verne Robert Burdick; his grandfather; and his father-in-law Rex, Teal.
