Vernon Lewis Goodrich, 89, of Oakhill, Florida passed away February 16, 2024. A Native of Oak Hill, Vernon was the son of Elmer and Aleathea Goodrich, He honorably served in the U.S, Army in the late 1950's as a surveyor. After serving in the military, Vernon began his career as a Firefighter. For 40 years he was a Crash Firefighter at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with Pan Am World Services/Johnson Controls. He was also a founding member of the Oak Hill Volunteer Fire department. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma Lopez and daughter Krista Goodrich. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lynn Goodrich, daughter Kim Albright, step-son, Donald Wilson and five grandchildren.
