Veronica Mae Davidson

Born October 28, 1917 in Crosby, Minnesota.  Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother.  Passed peacefully at 99 in The Villages, Florida, on 12/6/16. Preceded in death by husband Harold, son Gerald, grandson Gregory, beloved parents Harry and Amelia Garceau, brothers Jay, David, Carroll, Paul and sisters Harriett Trebatoski and Mary Roy.

Harold and Veronica were married 54 years.  Survived by children, Joyce (Sunny), Thomas (Jane), Susan and Richard, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends.Harold and Veronica, also known as Mr. & Mrs. 'D', operated Homewood Hospital, a psychiatric facility in north Minneapolis for 23 years from January 1942 until July 1965.  A merger with Glenwood Hills Hospital (GHH) took place in July 1965.  The patients were transferred to GHH.  Veronica was the Associate Administrator of the Park Building, a psychiatric unit of 180 beds.  Harold was the Business Manager.  They retired in September 1974.  A memorial service will take place in Minnesota at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
