Veronica "Ronnie" Habel, 72, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on September 18, 2023 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born on October 5, 1950 in NY, NY to Henry & Jean Habel. The family moved up to Rockland County, NY, where she attended Tappan Zee High School.

Veronica moved to Cape Coral in 2001, from NC, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She proudly received her certification in Medical Coding & Billing from Cape Coral Tech School. She worked as a coder/biller until her retirement.

Veronica was a beautiful, sweet, loving woman, who was always smiling and joking around. Her quick witted humor kept her young at heart. She instantly drew people in with her charm, and never met a stranger.

Her family was everything to her and everyone who knew her knew she was a force to face when it came to her children and grandchildren. Every day you are in our hearts and thoughts.  We miss you.  We know you are watching over and protecting us. We love you….

She is survived by her longtime husband and companion, Gene Crabill; her children: Tracy (Chris) Moffitt, Paul Hickey and Jesse Graf; her siblings: Pamela Habel, Virginia Carter, Maryanne (John) Ochs, James (Eileen) Habel, and John Habel; her grandchildren: Jake Moffitt, Shaylah Moffitt, Maximus Moffitt, Evan Graf and Jessica Graf; along with lifetime friends: Jean Camadeco & Stephen Hickey of NY
