Vicenta "Teresa" Rivera, born in Lima, Peru, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2025. Teresa came to the US in the 1970's and eventually resided in Union, New Jersey with her loving husband Carlos of 37 years along with her children Kenneth and Gregory. In 2017, Teresa and Carlos moved to Ormond Beach, Florida with Gregory to enjoy the sunshine state and retirement.

Teresa dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband and kids as a homemaker.

She enjoyed working on DIY projects in the house. Telemundo and The Weather Channel were commonly on TV while Teresa would cook delicious Latin American cuisine for her family. She greatly enjoyed her telenovelas, cared for many cats over the years and enjoyed a good laugh while watching videos of animals online.

Teresa's favorite store was Ross. She loved to shop and was a true fashionista from head to toe. Teresa is survived by her loving sons Kenneth and Gregory Rivera. Her husband Carlos predeceased her in 2019. Teresa is also remembered and loved by her stepchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the US and Peru.

Teresa will forever be remembered for her charismatic, fun personality and her numerous selfless sacrifices to ensure her family was happy and cared for. When you think of Teresa, please remember her smile and that she is now in the arms of her loving husband Carlos once again.
