Victor "Vic" E. Maurice, 72, of Alva, Florida passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. Born in Miami, Florida on October 7, 1949, he is survived by his wife Suzanne, two daughters, Charmaine Smith and Sarah Lewis and husband Brett, as well as grandchildren Briana Smith, Bronsen Smith and wife Megan, Gunner Smith, Grace Scott and Miles Lewis. Victor served his country in the U.S. Army, which included an 11-month tour in the Vietnam conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in a combat zone. His 32-year career with the Fort Myers Fire Department was highlighted by earning the George Sanders Distinguished Fire Service award. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing cars and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Victor's memorial and celebration of his life will be held at First Assembly of God church March 5, 2022 at 10:00am.
