Victor Ragaini, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026 at Discovery Commons Cyprus Point at the age of 94. Born on March 8, 1932 in North Grafton, Massachusetts he lived a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure.

Victor, the youngest of eight children was the cherished son of John and Santa Ragaini and was proud to call Massachusetts home during his formative years. He joined the US Navy in 1952, serving aboard Navy Destroyers during the Korean War.

After completing his service he earned his Bachlor degree in Teaching at Nebraska State University. This led to the beginning of his career as an Indusrial Arts / Drafting / Descriptive Geometry teacher in the Hazelwood School District, a suburb of Saint Louis, MO. He returned to college and earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri and moved into Administration as a Department Head. He continued his career while living in Portage Des Sioux, MO, until retiring and relocating to Ft Myers Florida.

In 1968 he married the love of his life, Mildred Remenar. Their life together, spanning 57 years was filled with joyous memories, many friends and uncounted adventures at home and while traveling across the world, visiting far flung destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Mexico and South America.

Victor’s passions outside of teaching were travelling, ballroom dancing, his boats, his trucks and tractors, along with his love of life on the Mississippi River before relocating to Florida. He also was a master machinist, welder, and mechanic.

Victor is survived by his wife, Mildred, son Stephen, sister Josephine, one grandson and two great grandsons along with numerous nieces and nephews.

His legacy will endure forever in the hearts of everyone his life touched. The world will be a poorer place without him, but heaven is now a richer place with him there.
