Vincent Tabone passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on August 5, 1930, in Valletta, on the island nation of Malta, Vincent was the beloved son of Saverio Tabone and Jesse Henley.

At the age of 18, Vincent immigrated to the United States in 1948 when his uncle sent for him, seeking a better life and new opportunities. He found both beginning a long and dedicated career with the Ford Motor Company, where he worked for over 35 years from 1952 to 1987.

In 1954, he met and married the love of his life, Marie Vassalo (1930-1984). Together they built a beautiful life and a loving family, raising three children: Janie Burke Black (Ron), Denise Bruske Thalacker (Kevin), and Johnny Tabone.

After retiring, Vincent moved to Palm Harbor, Florida, where he proudly built his first home. He later settled in The Villages in Central Florida to be closer to his family. Vincent loved spending his days riding his golf cart to the town center, where he'd dance to live country music. He cherished time with his family, especially cooking for them during visits, and found great peace fishing during his time in Michigan with his nephews.

Vincent's family was his greatest joy. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren: David Michael Burke (Dawn), Ryan Black (Elizabeth), Patrick V. Bruske (Breanna), Marie J. Bruske, Michael J. Bruske (Shandel), Jordan B. Thalacker, Tiffani N. Thalacker, Samantha Rose Tabone (1990-2020), Katie Tabone, and John Michael Tabone.

His legacy continued to grow with his 12 great-grandchildren, DJ Burke (Lil), Noah Burke, Chloe Burke, Carly Black, Lucy Black, Chloe Bruske, Vincent Bruske, Lydia Bruske, Abigail Bruske, Collin Bruske, Khloe Rose Tysick, and Lilian Bruske. Their lives brought him endless pride and joy.

He was also a loving uncle to many dear nieces and nephews: Art Smith (Jacque), Ron Smith (Jeanne), Richard Smith (Donna), David Vassar (Joell), Joe Vassar (JoAnn), and Agnes Roehrich (Mark).

Vincent was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Marie Tabone; his parents, Saverio Tabone and Jesse Henley. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Marie at St. Hedwig Cemetery

(23755 Military Rd., Dearborn Heights, MI), joining his cherished family; George and Rita Smith, Joe Vassar, and Marie, Joe and Rita's parents Agnes and Michael Vassalo.

Vincent Tabone was a man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and deep love for his family. His legacy of warmth, resilience, and generosity will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
