Viola G. Little, age 89, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Haven Hospice. She was born on January 3, 1934, to her parents, Stanley Belles and Mildred (Michael) Belles in Briar Creek, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, which is ranked as one of the best nursing schools in the world, as a registered nurse, and worked at numerous hospitals worldwide during her career and retired after 10 years at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She lived by her faith, was a social and active woman, and was passionate about her family and friends. Throughout her life she took immense pleasure in traveling to, and experiencing, the many wonders and sites of the United States and several other countries. She enjoyed card and board games, and spending time with family and friends.

Viola is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Wilson; her son Michael Little and spouse Diane Little; her brother, Clayton Belles; her sister-in-law, Rachel Belles; six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel (Jack) Little; her parents, Stanley and Mildred Belles; her brother, Eldon Belles; and her sister, Marie Peters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
