Virginia Maxine Conn Fossey, 90, of Winter Springs Florida, passed away on October 25, 2023. Virginia was born April 5, 1933 in Breeden West Virginia, daughter of the late Millard Filmore Conn and Katharyn Marcum Conn. In her earlier years, Virginia worked in retail. She moved to Florida where she met then married Clifford D. Fossey on January 5, 1961 in Miami Florida. Virginia enjoyed 48 years with Clifford until his passing on November 1, 2009. A wife, mother and grandmother, Virginia loved spending time with her family, taking care of the home and hosting family events. She was very sociable and expressed her feelings freely. On her 89th birthday she delighted in a ride in a hot air balloon. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her 7 siblings. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Rene A. Fossey, grandson Austin R. Mills and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Thank you for giving so much love and for being the best mom and grandmother a child could ever have. Mom and Dad will be placed side by side on their anniversary January 5 2024, 2:00pm, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
