Wayland, NY:  Virginia Joyce Harter 85, passed away January 21, 2017 in Edgewater, Florida.

Virginia was born December 25, 1931 in Atlanta, NY the daughter of Leslie and Doris Stocking who both predeceased her.

After graduating from Rochester Business Institute, Virginia worked in the office of the Woodcroftery Shops until her retirement in 1979 when she then moved to Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Gerald Harter.  She is also survived by her daughter Sandra Swift (Tom Childress), grandchildren Cory Gilbert (Taylor) and Brian Gilbert, great grandchildren, Casey, Chris, Tyler, Ashley, and Chance, sisters Vyrna Brown, Beverly Foley, and a brother Richard Stocking.

There is no service planned at this time.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
