Virginia Ware's Obituary

Virginia Georgina Ware, 96, of Port Orange, passed away on January 10. A native of Old Greenwich, CT, she has been a resident of Daytona and Port Orange since 1965. She was an Air Force veteran of WW II and retired after a long career as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of The Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange, where she often attended the Wednesday Bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. William J. Ware, a career veteran of the USAF. Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Lowery McClendon of New York City, NY, daughter Sue Laramee of Port Orange, sister Othilia Horvath of Old Greenwich, CT, three grandsons and several great grandchildren.  Virginia's family has suggested memorials in her name to The Southeast Volusia Humane Society, The Alzheimer's Foundation, or to the Therapy Dogs Program at Halifax Health.
