Walter George Jachimek, 80, of North Port, FL, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte surrounded by his family. Walter was born in Chicago, Il on October 3, 1943, to the late Walter Fred Jachimek and Stella Constance Migon Jachimek.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Gail Bluthardt Jachimek; children, Jeff Jachimek and wife Jill, and Sue Johnson and husband Chris; sister, Diane Loven; grandchildren, Alexa, Kyle, Jamie, and several other family and friends.

Originally from Chicago, he moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, in 2005 and most recently to North Port, FL. He loved the water, he was an avid boater, and had a passion for fishing.  He was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, and he also enjoyed his retirement playing Bocce with his friends and being the President of the Tarpon Point Condo Association. He started his career as a medical tech and worked his way up to Vice President of Sales for Henry Shein. He was the life of the party and enjoyed celebrating any and all events. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
