IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter
Patterson
July 1, 1960 – November 13, 2024
Walter Michael Patterson, age 64, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Berea, OH, passed away at home just a few short weeks after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Walt spent his last few weeks doing in home hospice care with his wife and best friend, Paula Jane Alward Patterson and his beloved dogs. Walt's pride and joy were his children, Marc (deceased), Adam, Megan and Scott, and grandchildren, Paislee, Lake, Mariyah, Sophia and another on the way. Walt loved coaching his kids sports teams, going camping, four wheeling and dirt bike riding. His children will cherish those memories forever. In his final days, Walt was surrounded by his wife, all of his children and grandchildren, brother, Craig, sister, Sue. Walt's siblings always had a great story to tell about him and their fond memories of growing up together. Walt is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Frank Patterson and Patricia Eleanor Miller Patterson and his son, Marc Patterson. Walt is also survived by his stepchildren, Hope and Danielle and his step grandchildren, Corbyn, Frankie and Jaxson. "Papa" was the greatest as he lived on the beach and loved to take his grandchildren on golf cart rides. Walt was known as the "OG Stumpy" on the island and made so many friends because of his generosity. He was able to make anyone laugh, especially his wife Paula who thought he was the funniest, most giving person. If you were close to Walt, he had a nickname for you, whether you liked it or not. Walt enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Cleveland Browns, collecting cars, racing cars, doing the demolition derbies and telling you about "that one time", as he loved telling his stories. He was a loving father, husband, brother and friend. Walt is going to be missed by so many.
