IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wanda Faye Jackson
Sauceman
April 16, 1926 – February 1, 2026
It is with deep love and profound respect that our family announces the passing of our beloved matriarch, Wanda Sauceman of Orlando, Florida, on February 1, 2026, just shy of her 100th birthday.
Wanda was born on April 16, 1926, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to Louise and Paul Jackson.
She was the heart of our family - a force of nature who taught us the value of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family. Known for her warm smile and gracious spirit, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who welcomed everyone with open arms.
Wanda worked in retail until her retirement. In her later years, she remained active in the homeowners’ associations of the communities where she lived. She cherished visits with family and especially enjoyed her annual beach trips to the Gulf Coast with Sam Bussen—her son-in-law’s brother, longtime roommate, and, for all intents and purposes, an adopted son.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Sauceman; her mother, Louise Fennell; her father, Paul Jackson; her sister and brother-in-law, Bette and Ed Mercer, and their son, Ed Mercer Jr.; her grandson, Ronald Wayne Robison; and her son-in-law, Danny Holecheck.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Cheryl Holecheck; three grandchildren: Mark Barrentine (Christy), Melissa Haggerty (Jerry), and Kelly Holecheck; and three great-grandchildren: Shelby, Julia, and Justin Haggerty. She is also survived by two nephews, Dan Sauceman, Wayne Ailshie; four nieces, Sandra Towns, Nancy Justice, Tina Ailshie and Pat Floars (Donny); and Sam Bussen.
Wanda will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery alongside the love of her life, Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First Baptist Orlando. Arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Orlando, Florida.
