Warren Lloyd Gustafson, 89, New Smyrna Beach FL died Wednesday, January 12, 2011.   Warren was born in Cranston, Rhode Island. He served our nation in the Merchant Marines during WW II in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters as a Second Mate JG officer for the US Navy. He later worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance for 20 years in Coventry, RI. Following retirement he worked for a Marine Supply company. His family reflected on his love for restoring classic wooden boats and stamp collecting. As vice-chairman of the Coventry Housing Authority, he championed improved housing for the elderly.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years Helen, children Eric (Nancy), David (Janna), Heidi (Jonathan) Mies and six grandchildren (Ana, Jillian, Shawna, Kara, Benjamin, and Logan.)
