Obituary

Dr. Wayne "Doc" Bulgerin, 68, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on December 16, 2023, in Cape Coral, FL.

Doc was born in San Antonio to Wayne and Bette Burson Bulgerin on April 17, 1955. He went to school in San Antonio. He graduated from Robert E Lee High School, attended Texas A&M University in College Station TX, and graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic, in Spartanburg SC. He married Shirley Sippy on May 10, 2005, in Oahu, Hawaii.

He worked as a Chiropractor for 33 years. He served as Chaplain for Moose Lodge #1899. He was a devoted sponsor of Watoto Child Care Ministries. He served in many capacities and board member at Celebration Family Church with Pastor Dan Haight, Cape Coral Community Church with Pastor Dave Rigby, and was just beginning to become involved at Bridge Community Church with Pastor Bob Hulett. He held (2) Masters (one being in Biblical Studies) and Doctorate of Biblical Studies.

Doc was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Bette Bulgerin and his best friend Steve Spaeth of 56 years.

Doc is survived by his loving wife Shirley Bulgerin; stepchildren, Shawn Jeffries and Christopher Vest; brother Britt Bulgerin; grandchildren Kurk "KC" Jeffries, Nathan Jeffries, Steven Jeffries, Chyenne (Stephen Davis) Jeffries and Rayn Jeffries; great grandchildren Ella and Hunter Davis; best friends Frank Rowan and Dave Gererro, as well as his beloved aunts, nephews, nieces and an abundance of cousins.

Graveside services will be held on December 30, 2023, at Pearce Maxwell Cemetery, in Pleasanton TX. Celebration of Life services will be held on January 13, 2024 at 11am 2024, at Bridge Community Church in Cape Coral, FL.

The Bulgerin family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to nurse Jose and nurse Lilly at Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers, and the care staff at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. We would also like to thank Barbara Kallevig of Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home for all her assistance and guidance through this difficult process.
