Wendy Jo Mitchell (nee Stevens) passed peacefully at E.W. & Lucille Cates in Ocala on Monday, May 5th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Wendy was born to Wendell and Betty Jo Stevens(Grace) in Belleville, Illinois on October 30, 1957. She was the youngest of four children.

Wendy is survived by her companion Richard "Dick" White, Jerry Mitchell, her daughters; Jessica (David) Schimborski, Della Grace (Hector) Guerra, and Bonnie (Jason) Pricher, her sisters Maria Stevens and Bonnie (Stanley) Haake, sister-in-law MaryAnn Robinson, seven grandchildren; Hayden, Hector, Gracen, Rosalyn, Zoe, Roland and Anik, many nieces, nephews, step-family, friends and other "framily."

She is preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Betty Stevens and her brother Kenneth Robinson.

She worked at Sears in Ocala and Crystal River, TimberRidge Rehabilitation and most recently Barr-None Electric. She enjoyed all things with her family-most memorably her grandchildren's games and sporting events, walking at Shalom Park, playing card games, trips to Hardrock, geocaching wherever the wind took her and her companions, fishing and watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals play baseball.

Wendy never knew a stranger, and had a smile and laugh that lit up the room. She was thought of as a "second mom' to many and always was there to help anyone in need. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug a loved one or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day. Time waits for no one.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
